Domenica 14 ottobre una statua del Sacro Cuore di Gesù sarà collocata nella chiesa della frazione marina.
Viene colmata così una lacuna: la chiesa infatti è dedicata al Sacro Cuore anche se da sempre vi si celebra la festa della Madonna degli Angeli.
In data 13 aprile 2012 il parroco inviava una e-mail ad alcuni artisti di Ortisei con richiesta di foto e relativo preventivo per la realizzazione della statua.
Dopo attenta valutazione del materiale ricevuto, il lavoro veniva assegnato all’artista Ferdinando Perathoner, al quale chiedevamo diverse modifiche. Questo il testo della lettera del parroco scritta in data 19 maggio 2012: Gentilissimo signor Perathoner,
le scrivo chiedendole forse qualche cambiamento eccessivo sull’opera che vorremmo realizzare. Provo a descrivere le nostre richieste sulla statua del Sacro Cuore. Gradiremmo:
volto cuore e braccia foto n.4 (in allegato)
tunica foto n. 1 con decoro di foto n.4
basamento e posizione delle gambe di foto n. 1
mantello: possibilmente tipo immagine San Giuseppe vostro catalogo (10 x 21) a pag. 35 con leggero decoro
colore tunica e mantello: beige e rosso. Ma accettiamo eventuali vostri suggerimenti.
E’ gradito bozzetto comprensivo di tutte le richieste avanzate e relativo preventivo spesa.

Il 5 giugno l’invito del parroco all’artista a iniziare l’opera e in data 13 agosto il signor Perathoner comunicava che il lavoro era stato completato.
La statua scolpita su legno cirmolo, alta 160 cm, è stata offerta dai coniugi Fortunato Colloca e Carmela Pinto in memoria del figlio Angelo deceduto il 26 ottobre del 2011.
