E’ arrivato il giorno atteso: domenica 14 la statua del Sacro Cuore di Gesù è stata scoperta davanti a molti fedeli che ne hanno apprezzato la bellezza con un lungo applauso.
Nonostante l’incertezza del tempo alle ore 17.00 ci siamo ritrovati all’aperto vicino al bar Mikey Mouse dove i coniugi Colloca, che hanno offerto la statua, l’hanno scoperta e dopo la benedizione del parroco è iniziata una breve processione verso la Chiesa.
Intronizzata la statua su un nuovo piedistallo Monsignor Ermanno Raimondo ha presieduto una sentita e commovente celebrazione Eucaristica.
Erano presenti, oltre ai coniugi Colloca, il sindaco di 
Acquappesa e una delegazione di San Pietro a Maida, di cui facevano parte l’assessore allo sport e gli atleti della pallavolo per ricordare il loro amato e compianto dirigente Angelo, in memoria del quale è stata offerta la statua del Sacro Cuore. (VEDI FOTO)
