Ora mi rivolgo a voi in questa fase di ripresa della vita pastorale, diventata ancora più problematica. È superfluo dirvi che ritengo indispensabile e fondamentale il vostro aiuto e che senza di voi nessun programma pastorale si potrebbe realizzare. Credo sia radicata anche in voi questa consapevolezza della necessità di unire le forze di persone generose nel servizio e animate da buona volontà.
Sono grato per tutto quello che avete fatto finora e per il tempo che vorrete ancora dedicare a questa missione, sicuramente più difficile da gestire, ma che non può assolutamente fermarsi. Ho bisogno di tutti voi e insieme, forse, dobbiamo inventarci nuovi modelli pastorali per raggiungere tutte le categorie di persone, i ragazzi gli anziani gli ammalati e le tante famiglie, duramente provate da questa pandemia.
Ringrazio, intanto, tutti quelli che hanno accolto, con entusiasmo, il mio invito per l’accoglienza dei fedeli in chiesa, per l’igienizzazione dei luoghi di culto e per assicurare una dignitosa liturgia festiva. Sono contento che anche tre ragazze hanno dato la loro disponibilità come volontarie per il servizio di accoglienza. Ecco un aiuto che vorrei chiedervi: attivarvi per trovare altri giovani e far capire loro la bellezza di poter utilizzare in modo costruttivo un briciolo del loro tempo. Sarebbero i giovani, infatti, le persone più idonee a questo tipo di servizio. Troppe volte ci siamo arresi davanti alle loro resistenze. Ma abbiamo bisogno dei giovani perché, come ho ricordato loro, “la comunità parrocchiale non può essere affidata ai soli anziani”.
Spero di incontrarvi presto per riflettere insieme, non più tramite post su facebook, come necessariamente è avvenuto in questo periodo, ma guardandoci finalmente in faccia, per un confronto sulle tracce che questo periodo ha lasciato anche in noi.
Con l’estate che si avvicina e le norme restrittive, imposte dall’emergenza sanitaria, è necessario l’impegno di tutti, per programmare e affrontare con serenità i nuovi problemi, che inevitabilmente si aggiungono a quelli già esistenti.
